Launched last year the Van Safety Kit has become one of Dickies most popular products. The idea behind the Van Safety Kit was to put together a selection of essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure professional tradesmen can keep their PPE close at hand.

The PPE is supplied in a yellow holdall with the legendary Dickies logo emblazoned on the side. The holdall has reinforced webbing handles, an adjustable shoulder strap and can be easily stored in a worker’s van.

The Van Safety Kit comprises of three high visibility garments: a Motorway Safety Jacket conforming to BS EN471 Class 3 suitable for use on all roads with a speed limit of 40mph or above. A Highway Safety Waistcoat and a pair of High Visibility Trousers are also included.

To protect the head there is a high quality Polyethylene Safety Helmet conforming to BS EN397, the specification for industrial use. Other items from the Van Safety Kit include a pair of Canadian Rigger Gloves with leather palm, vein, fingertip and knuckle protection; along with a First Aid Kit containing a variety of wound dressings, disposable gloves and a guidance leaflet, for the on-site treatment of minor injuries. And workers can add other items of PPE to the Van Safety Kit that are relevant to their particular trade or industry.
